About the Board

Safeguarding Mental Health in Kenya

The Counsellors and Psychologists Board (CPB) is a State corporation established under the Counsellors and Psychologists Act, No. 14 of 2014 (Cap. 253C). Our mandate is to regulate the training, registration and practice of counsellors and psychologists to safeguard the public and uphold ethical standards.

Through registration, licensing, accreditation of training, and enforcement of the Code of Professional Ethics, we work to build public trust in the counselling and psychology professions.
